Ayman Al-Ashry, Chairman of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of Al-Ashry Steel Group, confirmed that holding the 16th Arab Steel Summit today in Egypt is an important step towards developing this sector at the Arab level. This came today, Sunday, in his statements during his participation in the opening of the 16th Arab Steel Summit in Cairo. Al-Ashry said that Cairo’s hosting of this summit confirms the state of stability that Egypt is experiencing, and the great support from the Egyptian political leadership, headed by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, for investment and investors in general and Arabs in particular, pointing out that Egypt is prepared to invest in the iron and steel sector and all sectors in light of the development boom it is experiencing during this period of infrastructure, investment opportunities and unprecedented national projects. Al-Ashry noted that one of the goals of the Arab Steel Summit is to develop this industry in line with modern global developments, which leads to the opening of new export markets that increase the exports of the Arab iron and steel industry, while studying the investment opportunities available in this sector, putting forward new ideas that achieve development, studying the appropriate conditions, and striving to create a new generation that works to develop the Arab iron and steel sector, in addition to the importance of the bilateral meetings that the summit will include to discuss ways to develop the Arab iron and steel sector, and exchange experiences between Arab countries in This sector is in line with global developments in light of modern technology to achieve Arab economic growth.
