During the first six months of this year, more than 30,000 tonnes of reinforcing bar was exported through Mostaganem Port to the United States of America, Canada, and the United Kingdom; it was reported, Friday, from the commercial directorate of this port establishment.
The same source pointed out that the mentioned export operations fall within the agreed framework concluded between the port of Mostaganem and "Tosyali" the Iron and Steel Complex, (Province of Oran) last November and it was programmed to import 550 thousand tonnes of ferroalloys and the exportation of 100 thousand tonnes of reinforcing bar to and from several destinations.
During the same period, the same source added, 152.797 tonnes of ferroalloys (steel alloys) were imported from Italy, Norway, Russia and Ukraine on 12 ships and 17,460 tonnes of wire rod from Turkey by two ships for the same economic operator.
