Western Pipes Company in the United Arab Emirates has successfully commissioned its new Welded Pipe (LSAW) factory. The new factory was built in Khalifa Industrial Zone, Abu Dhabi (KIZAD), by a group of Larsen & Toubro Limited and SMS Group with a production capacity of 240,000 tons per year.
The pipes produced have diameters from 18" - 58" inches and are used by land or sea to transport gas. Their length reaches 12.2 meters in diameter and the maximum wall thickness is 44.5 mm. Steel plates can be processed up to X80 grade.
