According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) latest monthly data, steel sector exports from Turkey in the first nine months of the year totaled 1.59 million tons, an increase of 15.7% year-on-year.
Morocco was the first destination for Turkish sector exports in the period from January to September, amounting to 106,700 tons, an increase of 17% year-on-year, while exports to Malaysia amounted to 88,000 tons, an increase of 31.3%.
Peru became one of the largest importers of Turkish steel sectors in that period with 87,000 tons, an increase more than threefold on an annual basis, while total exports of steel sectors to Egypt reached 77,300 tons, a decrease from 111,700 million tons exported in the same period of the previous year.
Türkiye exported 67,300 tons of steel profiles to Colombia in the same period, while exports to the United Kingdom amounted to 65,000 tons.
Other destinations were Canada (42,000 tons), Italy (36,000 tons), United Arab Emirates (36,000 tons), Greece (35,100 tons), Argentina (32,300 tons), Iraq (30,500 tons), and the United States (29,600 tons).
