In 2024, China’s hot rolled coil (HRC) production amounted to 213.542 million mt, increasing by 3.8% year on year, according to China’s National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). In the same period, China’s cold rolled coil (CRC) production totaled 47.407 million mt, up 3.8% year on year. In December alone, China’s hot rolled coil (HRC) production and cold rolled coil (CRC) production totaled 17.902 million mt and 4.431 million mt, up 14.2% and down 0.1% year on year, while up 2.24% and 6.03% month on month, respectively.
