Egypt's iron and steel exports amounted to $1.1 billion, in January to October 2022

Egypt's iron and steel exports declined by 23%, to record about $1.146 billion during the first 10 months of 2022, compared to $1.481 billion in the same period last year.

The Export Council for Building Materials, Refractories and Metallurgical Industries indicated that 10 countries acquired 75.3% of Egypt's iron and steel exports, at a value of $863,099 million, led by Spain, with a value of $243,877 million, compared to $349,574 million, a decline of 30%.

Exports to US decreased by 69%, to $48,918 million compared to $158,497 million, to Canada by 41%, to $47,470 million compared to $80,081 million, and Portugal by $38,059 million compared to $50,085 million during the same period in 2021, a decline of 24%. .
