The eurozone's third-quarter GDP expanded by a record 12.6% compared to the prior three-month period, versus a previous estimate of 12.7% growth, a second estimate from Eurostat showed.
This marked the best economic performance since data collection began in 1995 and followed a record slump of 11.8% in the second quarter as the coronavirus pandemic ravaged the region's economy.
On an annual basis, the region's GDP contracted 4.4% in the July-to-September period, following a 14.8% decline in the second quarter.
