The first meeting of the Economic Committee of Arab Iron and Steel Union was held in Cairo on 20 February. The meeting was attended by 12 members from 9 Arab countries: Egypt, Algeria, Kuwait, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Libya, Tunisia, Morocco.
The Economic Commission is one of the most important committees of Arab Iron and Steel Unionl which consists of most Arab countries to study the situation of the iron and steel industry in the Arab world.
