India's JSW Limited achieved 1.377 million metric tons of crude steel production in August this year, an increase of 5% over the same month in the previous year.

In August of this year, the company produced 899,000 metric tons of rolled products, down by 8% from the corresponding month of last year. “The production of rolled products was lower due to the planned shutdown taken by a single converter at the Vijaynagar Steel Plant in the south.”

Long product production was recorded at 301,000 metric tons, an increase of 30% over the corresponding month of the previous year.

The average capacity usage for August was 92%.
