After a long period of stability in rebar prices in Egypt, which lasted for 6 months (mid-May), the major steel mills raised their prices for the month of October.

Surging prices for raw materials, semis and finished products globally were the main reason for the decision.

This time, the rise was uneven, between EGP 400- 000 / ton, depending on the factory, while some raised the price by EGP 1000 / ton, other factories increased by EGP 800 / ton and the third by EGP 400 / ton.
