Turkey’s steel import value up 85.6% in January-July

According to the provisional foreign trade, statistics compiled by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) and the Turkish Undersecretaries of Customs, Turkey’s iron and steel imports value increased by 95.2% year on year, totalling $2.60 billion. Iron and steel ranked second among the most imported products of the country in terms of value in July this year.

For the January-July period this year, the value of Turkey’s iron and steel imports totalled $15.44 billion, an increase of 85.6 % over the same period of the previous year.
