Hisham Tawfiq, Minister of the Public Business Sector, said that the Delta Steel Company in Mostorod in Shubra Al-Kheima was developed with the aim of doubling the production capacity five times the current production.
He added that the furnaces for “pellet production” have been developed with a production capacity of 250 thousand tons annually, indicating that the company’s profits after the development work that took place on it will reach 200 million pounds.
The minister indicated that the second phase of development will begin during the current year to reach 10 times the current production, 50 thousand tons annually, the total original design capacity, and the establishment of a new foundry.
The minister added that the total cost of developing the company amounts to 700 million pounds, with the aim of doubling the production capacity 10 times what it is now in two stages, from 50 thousand tons annually.
